Her Soul To Take: by Harley Laroux

I had so much fun reading this book. The cover sold me for sure. I really liked both Leon (The male lead) and Rae (the female lead) which is wonderful because it’s not always the case that I like both of them. It has been a while since I’ve read PNR, and I’ll be honest, I jumped on this one partially because I was writing Incubastard and wanted to make sure that they weren’t too much alike (thankfully, besides a few minor common imagery details, they are not), but I was so pleased that I enjoyed it as much as I did.

One of the many things I adored was the explanation of the god and the description of Rae’s interaction with him. I thought the direction it went in that regard was very unique and I’m all about originality. The banter between Leon and Rae was adorable and the explicit scenes were absolutely HOT. I also really appreciated that the cat like him so much. I thought that was super cute.

The ending was absolutely wonderful and I REALLY loved that there were multiple supernatural beings that made an appearance. Some of it was just so delightfully creepy! Across the board this story was a gem and I am SO glad I have this on my shelf this book has me super interested to read more from the author, Harley Laroux.
